Important Info for Race Day

This Saturday is shaping up to be an awesome day out.

Registration is between 9-10am at Okere Falls Store. You must turn up and complete the entry form and sign the disclaimer even if you have pre-entered.

We still have a few entry spots available so if you are intending to enter but haven't done so yet, get in quick!

Race briefing will be at 10.30am and the race will start at 11am sharp. Bring lots of food and water. Remember this is an alcohol and drug free event.

The race will finish at 5pm and  the prize giving will be at 6pm at the Okere Falls Store. You must be present if you want to claim some of the awesome spot prizes on offer. Don't forget, after the prize giving we will have the awesome Strangely Arousing playing.

ONE MONTH TO GO!!

Entries are steadily coming in so if you haven't entered yet make sure you get your entry in asap. Anyone that is able to help with the running of the event please get in touch by emailing okereenduro@hotmail.co.nz or ph/txt 0273293291. We are particularly after kayakers to help with safety during the event. If you volunteer you will receive a free lunch and massive respect from all the competitors. This event can't run without the help of awesome volunteers. Look forward to seeing you all in a month's time!!

Entries Now Open

Yes it's still a few months away but entries are now open. This year we are limiting the event to 25 teams so you may want to enter early to avoid missing out. To confirm your spot and receive payment details email your team name and team members to okereenduro@hotmail.co.nz. Entry fee is $75.00 per team. Remember mixed teams of 3 (minimum 1 female) only!

2nd Annual Okere Enduro Teams Kayak Race


Kaituna River, Okere Falls, Bay of Plenty.

• 6hr Endurance kayak event.
• Mixed teams of three (minimum of 1 female on each team)
• paddle down the river - run back up to the top & tag your team mate (boats transported for you)
• team that completes the most laps in 6hrs wins
• entry: $75 per team of three ($25pp)
• Prizes for winners

Rules and other Relevant info:


# Team members do not have to do an equal amount of laps, if you have got someone that likes to hurt or is more confident then it is ok for them to do more laps than other team members.


# Age restrictions: You have to be 15 years or older to compete, also if you are under 18 you're going to need you parent's permission and signature to partake in this fun day out.

# Standard production length creek boats only. If you are unsure if your boat fits that criteria please get in touch. No Tandems sorry.

# We are capping the number of entries this year to 25 teams, so get in quick to secure your teams' spot.

# No Solo category this year. This is a teams race.

Okere Enduro 2013

Welcome to the new Okere Enduro blog, this is where you will find all of the information for the upcoming 2013 Okere Enduro. The date for this year's event is Saturday the 14th of December.

As with last years event we will be looking for volunteers to help in the running of the event. If you can help with safety on the river or marshaling then let us know.
